I saw this picture in Southern Living a few years ago and have used it as inspiration ever since. It is my absolute favorite and I get loads of compliments every year.
The first year I did it I used a fresh wreath with ivy topiaries which were a lot fuller than my Charlie Brown topiaries. I have turned to artificial since Brainy Smurf has allergies. Here is the 2010 version...
After looking at this picture, I might add a burlap bow or tie on the wreath and...gasp...a little more color. It's looking a little boring this year.
